It's about the ideas

The initial interest in the book was around the project itself. People liked talking about that fact that the authors were bloggers. Everyone thought the free content was intriguing (readers have downloaded over 7GB of data!).

I got the authors together a week ago and we decided we need to change the marketing message.

You are going to see us talking alot more about the ideas in the book. The essays are really what make the book unique. They are on topics which matter and have a growing importance in business today.

So, I'll give you my two cents on each essay over the next week or so, see if I can pique your interest, and convince you to buy a copy of the book.

You're dead-on about this, and I think it is the key challenge you'll face going forward. The book's content is excellent, and the ideas are valuable. I love the fact that these are "regular folks" with strong voices, but lack of name recognition is going to be a problem. And for this model to really succeed you must find a way around the name recognition problem.

I'll be writing a review of the book on my own blog in a week or two, and will pitch in wherever I can to help you promote it.
